Crocfin

As reptiles slowly took over the land of Zilla III, one large predator made its way back to the sea - the Crocfin.  A crocfin can use its fins to crawl on land, but it is much better suited to life in the water.  Though large and formidable looking, it largely eats vegetation in the sea.

Bircron

Bicron live exclusively in two member groups in the deserts of Nymo.  They rely on each other for everything, to the point that within days of one of them dying, for any reason, the survivor will pass as well.  There is a gathering once every decade in which the pairs are formed.  There is no discernible criteria for the pairing, but once the pair has been formed, it cannot be broken for the next decade.

Mullet Fish

Mullet fish are all business up front.  The animal's eyes sit below it's large mouth that is able to hinge open to consumer relatively large prey.  The eyes sitting low allow it to track it's meal while it's mouth is wide open.

Sdrst

Sdrst are ferocious land predators that hunt the grasslands of Jeol III.  Their large bushy tail is covered in sensitive fibers that can sense movement from several yards away.  They hunt in packs, even though they are not overly social animals otherwise.

Sroll

Sroll are very social, docile animals.  They can survive for an extremely long time without water, which allows them to navigate the large deserts of Florn V.  Their tails have an air sac at the end which they inflate to welcome members of other groups.

Amfish

Amfish are amphibians that spend nearly all of their time in the water.  Though they are able to survive on land for a brief time, but they just don't like to.  There's nothing of much interest for them on land...other than the semi-annual blooming of the kradazian flower.  The flower's petals are a delicacy to the amfish.

Reederi

Reederi are often hard to find as their stripes help them hide in the reeds on Riguz VI.  They can run at amazing speeds with their long limbs.  Their sleek, hairless bodies are often startling to see, and their calls are low and eerie.

Fison

Proto IV is the home to a very large group of mammals known as fisons.  They are semi-aquatic animals, and have developed vents on the sides of their heads which act like gills when they are submerged.  Their size requires a lot of grazing on the plants that grow in the mud near, and in, the plentiful lakes on the planet.

Flootbeaq

The flootbeaq uses its chambered beak to whistle loud calls to fellow birds.  Being ground dwelling birds, they are vulnerable to attacks from predators.  It's essential that they can warn one another to find cover.  From our studies, it seems like different notes have specific meanings that all flootbeaqs know.

Reptasoar

When the reptasoar was first discovered, it was believed that the flaps on its arms were wings.  We have since come to learn that the flaps of skin have many blood vessels through them and serve as a body temperature regulation system.  The twin stars of Yla are vastly different distances from the planet, which makes the day/night cycle much more volatile than on Earth.  Because of this, their eyesight has developed to be extremely clear in all levels of light.

Gelclops

Gelclops are gelatinous animals that walk the Florn sea bottoms.  They can squeeze their bodies into any space to escape from predators.  They filter feed through two openings directly below their single eye.

Shaydre

Shaydre live on the open plains of Senti V.  The planet is very close to the star that it orbits, which makes it very easy for the shaydre to burn in the sun.  They've developed a hairy growth on their backs to protect themselves from the rays.  More often than not, you'll find them under the single leaf plants that spot the landscape.

Snapfrock

Typically lounging animals, snapfrocks have developed a mouth on the end of their tails so that they can feed without expending too much effort.  The tail mouth is exclusively a carnivore.  The normal mouth is exclusively an herbivore.

Bulkdit

This small reptile is known as a bulkdit.  The name is roughly translated to "black dot" in the native Drolian language.  As bulkdit's age, their necks add a dot at different intervals.  You may be able to make out that the two young bulkdit only have one dot on their necks, while the larger one has four full dots and has recently started on a fifth dot.

Bonal

Bonal, or as they are more crudely known, "sphincter worms", are large surface dwelling worms on Jeol III.  Their size and speed often lead people to believe that they are some sort of snake.  This isn't true, as they are invertebrates with an exoskeleton covering their first two segments, and then resembling a segmented worm the rest of the way to their tail.  The "teeth" on its "face" are actually claws that it uses to pull prey into its three flapped mouth.

Skalehed

Skalehed are primate-like animals from the planet Ronoh II.  Their name comes from the scaly growths on the top of their heads.  When they were first discovered, it was believed that they had simply put some sort of shell on their head.  Upon closer inspection, it became obvious that these "scales" were in fact part of the animal - being tightly formed keratin growths.  These creatures are extremely territorial, and often fight with one another over food sources.

Balloon Swan

The balloon swan of Clastos III has a large flap of skin that hangs off of its beak.  When threatened, or during mating rituals, this flap of skin can be inflated like a balloon.  This creature is entirely confined to the water, as its legs have fused into a long keel to keep it upright in the heavy winds over the planet's large lakes.

Qrq

Qrq are ferocious beasts who speed across the barren areas of Abri IV in search of food.  Their legs have evolved into very arm like appendages, complete with full grasping use of its toes.  It can run on these long strong legs much like an Earth ostrich.  It's front limbs are tentacles with suction cups on them.  This may be a remnant of time past when the barren areas were vibrant oceans.
